Foreign policy debate between Obama and Romney to tackle Middle East

October 12. 2012 - When President Obama and Mitt Romney face off in their foreign policy debate, viewers will be treated to a discussion of global hot spots that threaten America's security and national interests.
Bob Schieffer of CBS News, the moderator of the final presidential debate, announced on Friday the topics to be discussed Oct. 22 at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. The list was released by the Commission on Presidential Debates.
Two of the segments will deal with the Middle East and what Schieffer calls the "new face of terrorism." America's longest war in Afghanistan, and how the United States deals with Pakistan, will be its own topic as well as the "red lines" that need to be drawn on Iran's nuclear ambitions and our relationship with Israel.
The debate topics also include a broad discussion of America's role in the world and U.S. relations with China.
