Vote: Man of the Match

Manchester United recorded a 2-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday, thanks to goals from Robin van Persie and Patrice Evra, to leapfrog Chelsea at the top of the Barclays Premier League.
The Reds produced an impressive team performance against the Gunners, although there were several players who stood out above the rest as contenders for ManUtd.com’s Man of The Match award. Thankfully, we’ve managed to specify our shortlist to five...
Robin van Persie: The Dutchman showed his class, both as a player and a man, by scoring a fine opening goal in the third minute before declining to celebrate in a mark of respect to his former club Arsenal - despite being poorly received by the Gunners’ travelling support.
Wayne Rooney: United’s talismanic striker was disappointed to screw his first-half penalty wide of the post but characteristically recovered to produce a fine performance alongside RvP. Dropping deep on several occasions, Rooney was instrumental in all of the Reds’ attacking endeavours and he also saw a good effort well saved by Vito Mannone in the first half.
Patrice Evra: A seemingly unlikely target from a short corner, the Frenchman scored his second header of the season after the break to double United’s advantage. Typically adventurous, Evra also supplied a willing outlet for Ashley Young on the left flank and coped well against Santi Carzorla.
Rio Ferdinand: Cool, calm and collected. Three words which typify Ferdinand’s performance at the back against a fluent and willing Arsenal attack. As well as winning several key headers, the veteran defender also displayed his impressive distribution skills with a couple of excellently placed passes.

Tunisie - Ennahdha et salafistes : c'est la fin de la romance ?

Selon www.businessnews.com.tn:

Women: Sen. Bob Menendez paid us for sex in the Dominican Republic

Two women from the Dominican Republic told The Daily Caller that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez paid them for sex earlier this year.
In interviews, the two women said they met Menendez around Easter at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000 acre resort in the Dominican Republic. They claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100.
The women spoke through a translator in the company of their attorney, Melanio Figueroa. Both asked that their identities remain obscured for fear of reprisals in the Dominican Republic.

NBA Power Rankings: Breaking Down Every Team, Post-James Harden Trade

The Oklahoma Thunder's trade of James Harden was not something done in a vacuum that affects just the defending Western Conference champs and the Houston Rockets.
Instead, a move of that magnitude shakes the foundation of everything we thought we knew as the 2012-13 NBA season gets underway. Teams that were thought to be pseudo-contenders suddenly have an incredibly clearer road, and the already loaded Western Conference just got yet another fringe playoff team.
The move also shakes up one of my favorite NBA pastimes: the power rankings.
With that in mind, here's a look at where every team ranks heading into the tipoff of what should be a captivating season.
 Hi-res-153624842_crop_exact
1. Miami Heat
It's quite simple here. The Heat are the defending NBA champions, have far and away the league's best player and a vastly improved supporting cast.
Any prognosticators who fail to put Miami atop their power rankings, quite frankly, have some explaining to do in order to recapture their credibility.

2. Los Angeles Lakers
Injuries to Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard linger over Los Angeles coming into the season, but this is a team that will only get better as the season goes along.
The addition of Howard, Steve Nash and a cabal of veteran bench guys obviously makes this roster far more formidable than in 2011-12.
If there is any team that can take down LeBron James and Co. in 2012-13, that squad is the Lakers.

JFK Airport, Newark Airport reopen; LaGuardia Airport flooded

Travelers stranded by Hurricane Sandy are seeing service slowly restored across the Northeast. But it'll be days before things are close to normal.

The busy Northeast travel corridor ground to a halt when the huge storm slammed into New Jersey Monday evening. Train tunnels flooded, power went out, and forecasts of high winds forced airlines to cancel thousands of flights.
Travelers and commuters were forced to cobble together ways to get home, or stay where they were.
But by Wednesday, the region's massive network of planes, trains and buses was slowly restarting.
Flights resumed at airports, including two of New York City's three major airports. Limited subway service is expected Thursday in the city.
Major rail service in the region remained largely suspended, however. While some commuter lines are expected back Wednesday afternoon, Amtrak's Northeast Regional service between Newark, N.J., and Boston is suspended and so is Acela Express service for the Northeast corridor. No date is set for resumption of that service.
Air travelers stranded by Sandy are a little closer to getting home. There are limited flights at John F. Kennedy International and Newark Liberty International. The city's third major airport, LaGuardia, is still closed as authorities assessed the damage from the huge storm. Travelers hoping to fly out of New York are being told to check with their airline before heading to the airport.
Airports in Washington and Philadelphia re-opened on Tuesday.
FlightStats said the storm had caused more than 19,000 cancellations since it began, including 2,820 cancellations in North America on Wednesday.
Delta was resuming some flights at JFK on Wednesday. But other airlines, including American and Southwest, both said they won't resume New York flights until Thursday.
LaGuardia was another story. Several airlines said they hoped to resume flying there on Thursday. But airport authorities said they don't know yet when LaGuardia will reopen.
"There are a lot of contingencies before we can re-open at LaGuardia," Southwest spokesman Paul Flaningan said. "It's still barricaded at the front entrance, which makes drop-offs from taxis and buses difficult."
Airlines continued to waive fees to change tickets for flights to New York airports. Delta and United said that anyone who planned to fly there through Saturday could change their ticket. However, the re-booked travel still had to begin by Nov. 9, giving travelers a relatively narrow window to make their trip.
American's waiver was broader, covering New York tickets through Nov. 7, and allowing rebooked travel through Dec. 20.
Amtrak said on Wednesday that it has restored train service to Newark airport. But service to and from New York's Penn Station was still not operating because tunnels under the Hudson and East rivers are flooded.
